Here's what we were working with - a massive tree sitting just feet from the front of this Dellwood home. The canopy had grown out wide enough to extend directly over the roofline, the landscaping beds, and a good portion of the surrounding yard. It wasn't just an eyesore. It was a liability.
Trees this close to a structure don't leave a lot of room for error. One wrong cut and you're looking at serious damage to the roof, the siding, or the stone work. That's why we brought in a lift for this one. Working from above gave our crew the control they needed to take the tree down in sections - safely, methodically, and without touching the property.
That's the part most people don't think about when they see a big tree removal. It's not just about cutting. It's about planning every single piece before it comes down. Where does it land? What's underneath it? What's the angle? A lift lets us answer all of those questions before the chainsaw ever starts.
The after speaks for itself. The front yard opened right up. The home's stone facade and craftsman architecture - which was almost completely hidden before - is now fully visible from the yard. More sunlight is hitting the property, and the whole front of the home just looks completely different without that canopy swallowing everything up.
If you've got a tree that's crowding your home, dropping branches, or just gotten too big for its space, that's worth paying attention to. Problems like that don't fix themselves - they tend to get worse the longer they sit.
